BLASER COURTOIS CHEVILLON
Samuel Blaser is a virtuoso trombonist with a sumptuous sound and a phrasing of a confounding plasticity. He is also an inspired composer, committed in the various formations he leads to putting in tension a sense of form constantly held with the spontaneity of improvisation. By joining forces today with two prestigious representatives of the French string school, double bassist Bruno Chevillon and cellist Vincent Courtois, Blaser undertakes, in a claimed "chamber" context and from an entirely original repertoire, to explore the register of the voice, common to the three instruments. An intimate and resolutely lyrical music that brilliantly plays on the richness and complementarity of the timbres, which raises the "trialogue" to the rank of a major art.
